Terms of Service
Last updated: July 24, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Daily Epoch (the “Service”), operated by BITPARSE LLC (“we”, “us”, “our”), a Delaware limited liability company. By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Daily Epoch publishes interactive, visual walkthroughs of machine-learning research papers, organized as five reading passes per paper. Passes 1–2 of every paper are free. On most papers, passes 3–5 require a Plus subscription. A curated set of papers is fully free. We may add, change, suspend, or remove features, content, or papers at any time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age in your jurisdiction) to use the Service, and old enough to form a binding contract. You need an account (Google sign-in, or a one-time code sent to your email) to save reading progress and to subscribe. You are responsible for all activity under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. One account is for one person; sharing a paid account beyond your household is not permitted. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
3. Plus subscription
Price and renewal. Plus costs $4.99 per month (plus any applicable taxes) and renews automatically every month until cancelled. By subscribing you authorize us, via our payment processor Stripe, to charge your payment method each billing period until you cancel.
Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from the “Manage billing” button on your account page, which opens Stripe's billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Plus access until then, and you are not charged again.
Refunds. See our Refund & cancellation policy. In short: no prorated refunds for partial months; billing errors always refunded.
Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it for a limited window during which your access continues. If payment ultimately fails, your subscription is cancelled and access reverts to the free tier.
Changes. We may change the subscription price or what it includes with at least 30 days' notice by email; changes apply from your next billing period, and you can cancel before they take effect.
4. Content and intellectual property
The explainers, prose, visualizations, and interactive widgets on the Service are our original work, and all rights in them are owned by us or our licensors. They are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial reading and study only. You may not republish, scrape, resell, redistribute, or create derivative works from them, or use them to train machine-learning models, except as expressly permitted.
The research papers our explainers cover remain the property of their respective authors and publishers. Where a page reproduces identified excerpts of a paper — such as a cropped figure or a quoted abstract — it does so with attribution and a link to the original, either under the paper's open license (noted alongside the excerpt) or as limited quotation for the purpose of commentary, criticism, and teaching. Our explainers summarize and rebuild the papers' ideas in our own words and graphics; they are not substitutes for the papers themselves.
Your content. Notes and other content you create on the Service remain yours. You grant us a limited license to store and display that content to you as part of operating the Service.
If you believe material on the Service infringes your copyright, email support@dailyepoch.ai with the URL, the work you believe is infringed, and your contact details. We review every such notice promptly and will remove or replace material where appropriate.
5. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to circumvent the subscription gate, probe or disrupt the Service's infrastructure, abuse the sign-in system, or use automated tools to bulk-download or scrape content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with a prorated refund of any unused paid period if the termination is not for abuse.
6. Privacy
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference and describes how we collect, use, share, and protect information, including through cookies, analytics, and advertising and measurement partners.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (including Google, Supabase, Stripe, Cloudflare, Brevo, PostHog, and TikTok) and may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for third-party services or content, and your use of them may be governed by their own terms and policies.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. While we work hard to make every explainer technically accurate, the Service is educational material, is not professional advice, and we do not warrant that it is accurate, error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. You use the Service at your own risk. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE AND OUR OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BITPARSE LLC and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or the rights of a third party.
11. Dispute resolution and arbitration
Informal resolution. Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at support@dailyepoch.ai and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute informally.
Binding arbitration. Except for small-claims matters and claims for injunctive relief regarding intellectual property, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered under applicable arbitration rules, rather than in court, and the Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation of this section.
Class-action waiver. You and we agree that disputes will be brought only in an individual capacity and not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, consolidated, or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims.
Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing us at the address above with your account email and a statement that you opt out of arbitration.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date above and, for material changes, notify subscribers by email. Your continued use of the Service after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
13. General
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund & cancellation policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You consent to receive notices and communications from us electronically.
14. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. Subject to the arbitration section above, the state and federal courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes not subject to arbitration.
